Angry Birds Amigurumi!
Definitely on my to-do list! Created by Adorable Amigurumi. Each of the pictures link to the Ravelry pattern.
I love, love, love these patterns. I really can’t wait to try them out. Did I mention they’re all FREE?

Long time, no see!
So once again, I’ve gone a few months without posting on here. I guess, though, that’s because I really haven’t finished much work publishing or even talking about.
But to keep you all updated I’m in the process of finishing a short-sleeved cardigan and a nice simple beaning I designed (pattern will be up soon!). I’m also just starting a (what I hope to be) awesome...

proustianrecall asked: Your Pokemon blanket has a lot of intarsia, doesn't it? How do you keep the pictures from falling apart?

Question...?
So, for all you amigurumi masters out there, I’ve got a question for you.
How do you go about creating your own pattern and making it look perfect? Do you crochet multiple versions of each piece until you find one what works? I’m assuming that that is probably the best way to go about it but I feel like that takes a lot of time, especially for what I’m working on (a pretty large...

amorningcupofjo asked: Oh my gosh, your Pokemon blanket sounds like SOOOOO much work! However, it's going to be AMAZING when you finish. :D I honestly have so much respect for you because I could never commit to a project of that size. Good luck, and I hope that you find your motivation to continue.

Yarn Debate... Too many choices!
After completing my first real sweater, I want to do more! I’ve always been a fan of fair-isle works, so maybe that’s why I’ve decided on the Knitty pattern Oranje as my next big project:
To tell the truth, DK/sport weight yarn always seems a little daunting to me. Smaller stitches = more work to get what you want!
And because my experience is quite low in the DK department, I...

Blanket Hiatus/30 Day Knitting Challenge
Over the past week I’ve done zero squares of my pokemon blanket…
Sure I feel a little bit like a failure but I have been using my time productively! Currently I’m working on finishing up the WIP I started before I had decided to do the blanket: the Girl Friday Sweater.
I’m so close… as in only a couple rows left! I’ll post some pics when I’m done.
But...

Oh goodness.....
I’m not so sure that I’m going to be able to finish this blanket…
I’ve already done 43 squares, but it feels like so much more! And I’m not even a third of the way done! It doesn’t help that it’s midterm. Maybe I’m just stressing out about that…
But even my boyfriend is losing interest! I mean, I’m sure that he’ll love it once...

One of my last knitting firsts!
Once you’ve been knitting for nearly 7 years, you don’t have many days where you do something you’ve never done before. Today was one of those days!
About 10 minutes ago I ordered my first yarn online!
I’ve searched every yarn/hobby store in town and there is still one color that I need in order to be able to complete my pokemon banket: a darkish green. So far I’ve...

Owl-Spiration →
I’m really not planning on sleeping much tonight, so I thought I’d try my hand at creating my own unique owl pattern for a nice amigurumi creature. I know that there’s probably hundreds of patterns right now out there for owls but, I still think I’d like to have one of my very own. This page has a lot of great pics of owls and owl toys that I plan on using as inspiration.
